AI agents for advice firms

AI agents for financial advisers. The agent prepares, the adviser advises.

Agents that brief the adviser before a review, draft the file note and a first suitability report afterwards and pull provider responses into your schedule, then stop for the adviser to approve. Built in your own Microsoft 365.

FiveForward builds AI agents for UK financial advisers inside the firm's own Microsoft 365: a brief before the review meeting, the file note, fact-find updates and a first draft of the suitability report afterwards, provider responses extracted into your schedule and onboarding checks, with the adviser approving throughout.

Advice firms sit on exactly the work agents are built for: long client histories, meeting notes, review packs, provider correspondence and the constant search for the right document. The same firms carry FCA obligations, Consumer Duty expectations and some of the most sensitive personal data any business holds.

So the agents prepare rather than advise. They start when a review is in the diary, when a meeting ends or when a provider's response arrives, do the preparation and filing in your own Microsoft 365, then stop for the adviser. The agent prepares, the adviser advises.

The recommendation and the reasoning behind it never move away from the adviser. Paraplanners and administrators get the admin taken off them too, with approval points on every agent.

Run an accountancy firm? The accountancy page has the detail: six accountancy agents, what starts each one and where your team approves.

The agents

Three agents that run in an advice firm.

Each one does the preparation around the advice, never the advice.

Review meetings, before and after

Starts when
A review meeting is in the diary, and again when it ends.
What it does
Briefs the adviser the day before from the client file and open actions. Afterwards it drafts the file note, the fact-find updates and a first draft of the suitability report from the adviser's own notes and your approved paragraphs.
Where a person approves
The adviser approves or amends everything before it is filed or sent. The recommendation stays theirs.
Runs on a ready-made agent

Provider responses into your schedule

Starts when
A provider's email or letter arrives.
What it does
Reads the valuation, transfer or policy information, extracts the figures and dates into your schedule and files the document to the client.
Where a person approves
Anything it can't match or read with confidence goes to a person, and figures are checked before they are used in advice.

Onboarding checks

Starts when
A new client is taken on.
What it does
Checks the details for gaps, runs your approved checks and files the evidence to the client record.
Where a person approves
Your compliance lead reviews anything that scores.
Runs on a ready-made agent

What to watch

Where agents go wrong, and how we avoid it.

  • Sensitive client financial data pasted into prompts before the firm has rules for what an agent may touch
  • Access that is too broad, so client files surface beyond the team that owns them
  • An agent working from old templates or unapproved wording and drafting letters the firm would never sign
  • An agent's client summary treated as the client file, so the adviser stops checking the source documents

Your data and who approves

Built in your Microsoft 365. Approved by your team.

You decide what each agent may do on its own and where a person has to approve. By default, anything that goes to a client or raises a bill waits for one of your team.

Built in your Microsoft 365

Agents are built in your own Microsoft 365, and your own Azure subscription where a job needs it, not on our servers. We don't host your data.

Agents you talk to see what you can see

An agent your team talks to only sees what the person using it can already see.

Agents that run use a service account

Agents that run on their own use a dedicated service account. Its access is limited to the mailboxes, folders and systems the job needs, agreed with you in advance.

Every run is logged

Every run is logged: what came in, what the agent did and who approved it.

What it costs

Fixed prices, agreed before anything is built.

See pricing
A build
From £2,500, typically £2,500 to £15,000, fixed before anything is built
Discover, if you're not sure yet
£1,500 fixed, covering Design, credited back in full once your follow-on work passes £3,500 (ex VAT) within 90 days
Once live
Care at £295 a month for one live agent, or Embed from £750 a month covering up to three

Microsoft's own usage charges, such as Copilot Credits, are billed by Microsoft to your firm, separately from our fees. All prices exclude VAT.

Rather your own team learned to do more of this themselves? Training is hands-on and built around your firm's own processes, from using Copilot in day-to-day work through to building their own agents, with no Discover needed first.

Can financial advisers use AI agents under FCA regulation?
Yes, as preparation and drafting tools inside the firm's own Microsoft 365. The firm remains responsible for advice, records and data protection, so access, sources and approval points are settled before anything is built rather than after rollout. No recommendation is ever handed to an agent.
Can an agent write suitability reports?
It can assemble a first draft from the adviser's own notes and the firm's approved paragraphs. The recommendation, the reasoning and the final wording stay with the adviser and the firm's compliance process. It is drafting support, not an advice engine.
Is our client data safe with an agent?
We build agents in your own Microsoft 365, not on our servers, and we don't host your data. An agent your team talks to only sees what the person using it can already see. Agents that run on their own use a dedicated service account, limited to the mailboxes, folders and systems the job needs, agreed with you in advance. We build in UK regions wherever Microsoft offers them, and anything that has to run elsewhere is set out for your compliance lead to approve before go-live. Microsoft doesn't use your Microsoft 365 content to train its foundation models, and every run is logged. The remaining work is your own permissions hygiene, which is why we check it before any agent works on client files.
Does this help with Consumer Duty?
Indirectly. Clearer, more consistent client communications and better file notes support the outcomes the Duty asks for. An agent is not a compliance tool and it does not change the firm's obligations.
What would an advice firm's first agent be?
Usually the review meeting agent: a brief before the meeting, then the file note, fact-find updates and a first draft of the suitability report for the adviser to check. It runs on the ready-made client meeting agent, set up for your templates.
Will agents work alongside our back-office system?
Yes. Most agents start from something the back office can already produce, such as an export or a report emailed to a shared mailbox. Where the system allows a direct connection, the agent can pull data straight from it, and where we can't write back, the agent raises a task for a person instead.
What does an agent build cost for an advice firm?
The first step is a free 30-minute call. Builds are from £2,500, typically £2,500 to £15,000, fixed before anything is built. Discover, if you're not sure yet where agents would help, is £1,500 fixed, covering Design and credited back in full once your follow-on work passes £3,500 (ex VAT) within 90 days. Once live, your agents are looked after under Care at £295 a month for one live agent, or Embed from £750 a month covering up to three. Microsoft bills its own usage to your firm.
How do we get started?
Book a free 30-minute call. No pitch and no obligation. If you already know what you want, such as the review meeting agent, we scope it on the free call and the specification is included in the fixed build price. If you'd rather your team learned to build, training never needs Discover first. Discover is for firms that aren't sure yet where agents would help. Discover ends with a plan, played back in about an hour, where you choose the route and the price is fixed.
