How Discover runs

Conversations first, then the plan.

  1. The sessions

    Up to six hours of conversations with the people who do the work: the practice manager, the seniors who keep the checklists running, whoever handles the post and the chasing. We look at how each job actually runs, including the exceptions.

  2. Where the hours go

    We map the admin behind the work: what arrives, what gets checked, what gets retyped, who approves what. Some jobs suit an agent. Some need a simpler fix first, or nothing at all, and we say so.

  3. Design, on the same fee

    What we found becomes a plan on a page, played back in about an hour. You choose how it gets built and the price of that route is fixed there and then.

Commission any follow-on build, workshop or Embed work within 90 days of receiving your roadmap, and once its combined fees pass £3,500 before VAT, the full £1,500 comes off the invoices for that work.

Everything commissioned inside the window counts toward the £3,500, including an extra workshop for another group. The credit has no cash value, applies once per client and lapses after 90 days. Book within the window and the credit stands even if the work runs later.

All prices are on the pricing page. All prices exclude VAT.

How much does Discover cost?
£1,500 fixed, covering Discover and Design together, whatever the size of the firm. It covers up to six hours of discovery sessions across one team or service line, and extra sessions for more teams are quoted up front. Spend £3,500 or more before VAT on follow-on work within 90 days of the roadmap and the £1,500 comes back in full as a credit.
Can we skip Discover?
Yes. If you already know which accountancy agent you want, you can skip Discover. We scope it on the free call and the specification is included in the fixed build price.
What do we get from Discover and Design?
A map of where the hours go, the jobs worth handing to an agent ranked by value and effort, and a costed plan with the route we'd recommend, played back in a session of about an hour.
Do we have to commit to anything after Discover?
No. The plan is yours to act on with us or on your own. Discover is the first step, not a commitment to the rest.
How long does Discover take?
Usually two to three weeks, depending on diaries. Design follows straight on and ends in the playback where you choose the route and the price is fixed.
How is Discover different from the free call?
The free call is a 30-minute conversation to see whether we're a fit. Discover is the first paid piece of work, where we sit down with the people who do the work and find where the hours go.
What if our files are still on a server drive?
Then start with Discover. Most of these agents need your files in SharePoint or OneDrive first, and Discover sets out what to move and in what order.
