How we work/Training

Training

Copilot and agent training built around how your firm works.

Copilot in your workflows, Copilot Cowork and a short agents course for anyone in the firm, Copilot Studio workshops for the few who'll build and an Advanced day for firms with agents running. Every session is hands-on and follow-along, and every exercise uses a job from your own firm. No Discover needed first.

Three kinds of session

From Copilot in your workflows to Cowork, agents and Copilot Studio.

Three kinds of session: for anyone in the firm, for the few who'll build and for firms with agents running. Training is a way to start on its own. It never needs Discover first, and a firm can book one session or work through several over a year. First session from £950, further sessions from £650, per group (recommended up to 12 people).

For anyone in the firm

Copilot training and the agents course

Copilot in your workflows is the place to start if your firm has licences and hasn't had the value from them yet: three hours or a full day on what the licence already includes, taught on your own jobs. In the Copilot agents course each person builds their own agent for one of their jobs, and in the three-hour version adds a skill to it. Rolling out Copilot Cowork? Copilot Cowork for your team gives everyone two hours handing Cowork real jobs from their own week.

First session from £950, further sessions from £650, per group (recommended up to 12 people)

For the few who'll build

Copilot Studio workshops

Hands-on sessions for the people who know the work, building agents that start on their own and stop for a person to approve. A half day on classic Copilot Studio, with Power Automate doing the routine steps, or a full day on the new Copilot Studio experience. The apps workshop builds the app your team works in, beside those agents. The Cowork setup and skills workshop sets Cowork up for your firm.

First session from £1,150, repeat sessions from £850, per group (recommended up to 12 people)

For firms with agents running

Advanced Copilot Studio day

A day on your live agents: skills in depth, multi-agent orchestration, testing and evaluation and running costs. For firms that have done a workshop or already have agents running.

£1,500, one price, per group (up to eight people)

How training runs

Hands-on, follow-along and about your firm.

Every session is hands-on. James Wilkinson shows each step on screen and everyone does it as he goes, on their own machine, so nobody leaves having only watched. There is no slide deck to sit through.

Every session is bespoke to your firm. Before your first session, James spends two hours with your team working out which of your jobs the exercises will use, which applications your team works in and where an agent would fit in your workflows, then builds the materials around them. The agent a tax senior builds is about this year's client queries, in the systems your firm already uses where we can reach them, not a demo about a company that isn't theirs.

Your team leaves knowing not just how agents work, but how to use those skills in your own firm, on the jobs they do every week. The Advanced day is bespoke in the same way without the two hours, because it works on agents your firm already has.

Sessions run live, online through Microsoft Teams or in your office. Not an IT course, and no coding needed.

Run an accountancy practice? Copilot and agent training for accountancy firms has examples of the jobs practices bring, from January tax questions to the audit manual.

What the exercises look like

An accountancy firm

The tax team builds an agent that drafts replies to the client queries that arrive every January, from the firm's own templates and this year's filing dates.

A law firm

Fee earners build an agent that turns a client meeting into an attendance note in the firm's own template, with the actions and dates pulled out for them to check.

A financial adviser

The paraplanners build an agent that prepares a review meeting brief from the firm's own fact-find and the client's last review note.

Running costs

Agents that are cheap to run, not just quick to build.

Running costs are a real part of using agents. Some agent use is covered by your Microsoft 365 licences and some draws Copilot Credits, which Microsoft bills to your firm, and which is which depends on how the agent is built. So every session teaches the choices that keep running costs down, and we help firms get the most from their agents for the best cost.

Microsoft's rates change, so the figures live in one place, kept current: Copilot Credits explained: what each Microsoft workload costs.

  1. The right version of Copilot Studio for the job

Agent Builder in Copilot Chat, classic Copilot Studio or the new Copilot Studio experience. Each is paid for differently, and an agent can't be moved from one to another later.

  2. Flows for the routine steps

Moving a file or updating a list doesn't need AI. Flows do the routine steps, and AI is used only where judgement is needed.

  3. What the licence covers, and what draws credits

Agents your licensed team use in Copilot Chat, Teams or SharePoint are covered within fair use on Agent Builder and classic Copilot Studio. Agents that start on their own generally draw credits.

  4. Only the knowledge and tools it needs

On agents that draw credits, answering from a few chosen documents costs less than searching across your whole Microsoft 365.

  5. The model for the job

Reasoning models cost more per answer than standard ones, so they're kept for the jobs that need them.

  6. Planning before testing on the new experience

On the new Copilot Studio experience the meter starts while you build: Copilot's help, preview conversations and evaluation runs all draw credits. Configuring things by hand doesn't.

  7. A limit per agent before it goes live

Whoever looks after your Microsoft 365 can set a monthly limit for each agent. Microsoft's estimators help plan it before the agent exists.

How each session covers it

  • Copilot in your workflows uses only what the licence includes, and shows people where Copilot Credits start.
  • The Copilot agents course explains what the licence covers and where Copilot Credits start.
  • The Copilot Studio workshops make cost part of every build decision, so people leave knowing what their agent will draw.
  • The half day handles routine steps with Power Automate flows, paid for under Power Automate licensing rather than Copilot Credits. The full day uses workflows on the new experience, which are more capable and draw credits each time they run. Between them, people see the cheaper way and the more capable way, and when each is worth it.
  • The full day and the Copilot Studio apps workshop run under a spending limit agreed in the preparation session.
  • The Advanced day tunes the running costs of agents you already have live.
  • The Cowork setup and skills workshop puts spending policies and limits in place, and the Cowork team sessions teach the habits that keep Cowork's per-task costs down.

A firm's first session includes a two-hour preparation session in which the training is tailored to your firm: your workflows, the applications your team uses where we can reach them and the jobs the exercises will use. Repeats of the same material for another group are the session price only.

Building Your First Copilot Agent, with skills: Adding skills to an agent in Copilot Chat is in preview and needs your firm to be in Microsoft's Frontier programme. We check whether yours is in the preparation session.

Advanced Copilot Studio day: One price, because there is no preparation session. The day works on agents your firm already has, which is also why the group is smaller.

Prices are per group (recommended up to 12 people), not per person. All prices exclude VAT.

Choosing

Which session, for whom.

Copilot training

Copilot in your workflows, for teams that already have licences.

What your Copilot licence already includes, taught on your team's own weekly jobs: Copilot Chat with Work IQ, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams and Notebooks. People leave with your firm's way of doing each job saved as a prompt, an instruction or a skill.

It's stage one of the Agent Journey, and the place to start if your firm hasn't had the value from its licences yet.

See the Copilot training page

One half day, or two 90-minute sessions

Copilot in your workflows

Three hours hands-on on what your Copilot licence already includes. Each person runs two or three of their own weekly jobs through Copilot end to end, then saves your firm's way of doing one as a skill, a prompt or an instruction.

Leave with: two or three of each person's own weekly jobs run through Copilot end to end, at least one of them saved as a skill, prompt or instruction and a clear view of which work still needs Cowork, a skill or an agent.

First session £1,150, repeat sessions £850, per group (recommended up to 12 people)

A full day

Copilot in your workflows, full day

Everything in the half day, then the afternoon on Researcher, Analyst, Notebooks and your firm's own agents, where they fit in the same workflows.

Leave with: everything from the half day, with Researcher, Analyst, Notebooks and your firm's own agents put to work in the same jobs.

First session £1,800, repeat sessions £1,500, per group (recommended up to 12 people)

Copilot Cowork training

Cowork set up properly, then your team trained on their own work.

Copilot Chat answers a question. Cowork does a whole piece of work: you describe the job, it plans it and does it, then asks for approval before it sends, posts or schedules anything. A rollout runs in two parts. The workshop sets Cowork up with the people who'll look after it, then everyone who'll use it is trained group by group.

It's stage two of the Agent Journey. Every Cowork task draws Copilot Credits, so both sessions run under a spending limit agreed in the preparation session. If Cowork is already set up, go straight to the team sessions.

See the Copilot Cowork training page

One half day, or two 90-minute sessions

Copilot Cowork setup and skills workshop

Three hours hands-on. The group sets Cowork up properly for your firm, with access and spending limits in place, then writes skills from your own jobs and builds one automated task that asks before it acts.

Leave with: Cowork set up for your firm, with access and spending limits in place, skills for your own jobs and one automated task that asks before it acts.

First session £1,150, repeat sessions £850, per group (recommended up to 12 people)

Two hours

Copilot Cowork for your team

Two hours hands-on. Each person hands Cowork a real job from their own week, then learns to brief it well, check its work before approving and keep the cost down.

Leave with: each person's first real job handed to Cowork and the know-how to brief it, check its work before approving and keep the cost down.

First session £950, repeat sessions £650, per group (recommended up to 12 people)

Copilot agents course

A short course on agents, for anyone in your firm.

Each person builds their own agent in Agent Builder for one of their jobs, tests it on real questions and shares it with your team. Along the way: what an agent is, the four parts every agent is built from, the agents your team already has and using agents safely. Everyone taking part needs a Microsoft 365 Copilot licence. No technical knowledge needed.

Choose the version that fits each group. The three-hour version includes everything in the two-hour one and adds a skill to each person's agent.

Two hours

Building Your First Copilot Agent

Two hours hands-on. Each person builds their own agent for one of their jobs, tests it on real questions and shares it with your team.

Leave with: your own agent for one of your jobs, tested on real questions and shared with your team.

First session £950, repeat sessions £650, per group (recommended up to 12 people)

Three hours

Building Your First Copilot Agent, with skills

Everything in the two-hour session, then each person writes a skill for one of their own jobs, packages it and adds it to their agent.

Leave with: everything from the two-hour session, plus a skill written for one of your own jobs, packaged and added to your agent, and the know-how to reuse it in other agents.

First session £1,150, repeat sessions £850, per group (recommended up to 12 people)

Enable: Copilot Studio workshops

For the few people who know the work and will build.

Hands-on sessions in Copilot Studio: agents that start on their own when something happens, take an action and ask a person to approve, built from jobs in your own firm. The half day builds on classic Copilot Studio with Power Automate doing the routine steps, and the full day on the new Copilot Studio experience with its own workflows doing them. Up to 12 people, so everyone builds against their own work.

They know where the time goes, what the exceptions look like and what “done right” means, which matters more than technical skill. No coding is needed. We teach the Microsoft tools. No session teaches Power Automate expressions or code. Wherever a session builds a flow or workflow, people describe it in plain words, Copilot builds it and they check it and test it on their own cases. That's how they'll build after the session, so that's what we teach.

The Copilot Studio apps workshop is three hours on the app your team works in beside those agents: a form, a tracker or a screen for approving what an agent drafted. First session £1,150, repeat sessions £850, per group (recommended up to 12 people).

See the Enable page

One half day, or two 90-minute sessions

Copilot Studio workshop, half day

Three hours hands-on. The group builds one working agent together from a job in your own firm, following each step as it is shown.

Leave with: one working agent built by the group.

First session £1,150, repeat sessions £850, per group (recommended up to 12 people)

A full day

Copilot Studio workshop, full day

A full day hands-on. Each person builds their own agent from a job in your firm, then a hands-on skills module adds a first skill to it.

Leave with: your own agent and a first skill.

First session £1,800, repeat sessions £1,500, per group (recommended up to 12 people)

Advanced Copilot Studio day

A day on the agents you already have.

For firms that have done a workshop or already have agents running. The day works on your live agents rather than exercises, which is why the group is smaller: up to eight people.

  • Skills in depth: writing skills, the packaged instructions an agent follows for one task, and adding them to your own agents
  • Multi-agent orchestration: when to split work across child or connected agents, and how the main agent hands off and keeps control of the reply
  • Testing and evaluation: test sets that prove an agent still does its job after a change, run against your own cases
  • Running costs: reading what each live agent uses, finding the expensive steps and moving routine ones out of the AI

It suits agents built on the new Copilot Studio experience (the GitHub Copilot harness), where skills live. We check which version yours are on when you book, so the day fits the agents you have. Why testing matters: How do you know your agent still works?

Build with us. Not training.

The alternative to us building the agents on your plan.

A workshop teaches a group to build. Build with us is different: a few of your team build the agents in your plan, with James alongside, instead of us building them. There's no agenda and no slides. It's bespoke and conversational: we work alongside a few of your team while they build, on the agents in your plan, in your own Microsoft 365.

Do we need to do Discover before training?
No. Training is a way to start on its own. You book a session, we run the preparation session with your team and the exercises are built around your own processes. Discover is for firms that aren't sure yet where agents would help, and nothing needs it first.
Why does a firm's first session cost more than a repeat?
Because it includes a two-hour preparation session in which James Wilkinson tailors the training to your firm's own jobs, workflows and applications. A repeat of the same material for another group is the session price only.
Which session should we book first?
If your firm has Copilot licences and hasn't had the value from them yet, Copilot in your workflows. If your team already uses Copilot well and you want each person to leave with their own agent for one of their jobs, Building Your First Copilot Agent. If you also want each person to add a skill to it, Building Your First Copilot Agent, with skills. If you have a few people who know the work and will build agents that run on their own, a Copilot Studio workshop. If you already have agents running, the Advanced day. If you're rolling out Cowork, the Copilot Cowork setup and skills workshop first, then Copilot Cowork for your team group by group, or straight to the team sessions if Cowork is already set up. A free 30-minute call is enough to settle it.
Is it a talk, or hands-on?
Hands-on and follow-along. James shows each step on screen and everyone does it as he goes, on their own machine. Nobody sits through a presentation about agents, and every exercise uses a job from your own firm.
Does it only work for accountancy firms?
No. The sessions are built around whichever firm is in the room. Accountancy firms get tax, audit and practice management exercises. Law firms get matter intake, attendance notes and post. Financial advisers get review meeting briefs and file notes. Insurance brokers get renewal preparation and claims chasing. The preparation session is where that is worked out.
Is it online or in person?
Either. Sessions run live, online through Microsoft Teams or in your office, with time for your team's questions. On site works well for the workshops, where people need to look at the same screen.
Do we need Microsoft 365 Copilot licences?
For Copilot in your workflows, yes: it's about what the licence includes, so everyone taking part needs one. For the other sessions, not for everyone to take part. Agents built in Agent Builder or classic Copilot Studio are covered by a Microsoft 365 Copilot licence, within fair use, when someone with that licence uses them in Copilot Chat, Teams or SharePoint. Agents that start on their own, such as when an email arrives, generally draw Copilot Credits even on classic Copilot Studio, because nobody licensed is using them at the time. Everything built on the new Copilot Studio experience draws credits, whatever licences your firm holds. Agents grounded on web knowledge can be built in Agent Builder for free, and agents that answer from your own files need a licence or pay-as-you-go. We check your licences with you in the preparation session so the exercises fit what your team can use. Three numbers to check before your first agent goes live
Which version of Copilot Studio do you teach?
Each session uses the version that suits what it teaches. Everything in Copilot Studio now runs on one of three harnesses, Microsoft's name for the engine around an agent. The Copilot Chat harness extends Copilot Chat with your firm's own knowledge, and it's what Agent Builder uses. The standard harness is classic Copilot Studio, with topics, triggers and agent flows. The GitHub Copilot harness is the new Copilot Studio experience, Microsoft's default since 3 August 2026: it plans its way through a task, works with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and PDF files and uses skills and memory. It's part of Copilot Studio and needs no GitHub subscription. Copilot in your workflows uses Copilot as it comes with the licence. The agents course uses Agent Builder in Copilot Chat. The half-day workshop builds on classic Copilot Studio, with Power Automate doing the routine steps. The full-day workshop, the apps workshop and the Advanced day build on the new experience. The choice is permanent: an agent can't be moved from one harness to another, so picking wrong means rebuilding. How your own firm's agents are split is agreed on the free call or in the preparation session. Which Copilot Studio harness should your agent be built on?
Does a training session use Copilot Credits?
Some do. Copilot in your workflows doesn't, because everything it covers is in the licence. The full-day workshop, the apps workshop and the Advanced day work on the new Copilot Studio experience, where building with Copilot's help, preview conversations and evaluation runs all draw your firm's Copilot Credits while people build and test. A practice environment isn't free any more either. We agree a spending limit with whoever looks after your Microsoft 365 before the session: in the preparation session for the workshops, and when you book the Advanced day. The Cowork sessions draw credits too, because every Cowork task does, so they run under a spending limit agreed in the preparation session. The agents course and the half day work in Copilot Chat and classic Copilot Studio, where more of what people do is covered by the licence, and we check what yours covers in the preparation session. Microsoft's current figures are in our rate card. Copilot Credits explained: what each Microsoft workload costs
What is a skill, and which sessions cover them?
A skill is a packaged set of instructions, with any supporting files, that an agent uses for one task. Copilot in your workflows covers the simplest kind, a skill in Word or PowerPoint, where Microsoft has switched them on for your firm. The full-day workshop includes a hands-on skills module that adds a first skill to each person's agent, and the Advanced day covers skills in depth. In the three-hour version of the agents course each person writes a skill for one of their own jobs and adds it to their agent, where your firm is in Microsoft's Frontier programme, because skills in Agent Builder are in preview.
How is a workshop different from Build with us?
A workshop is training: a group learns to build by building, on exercises from your firm, and leaves with a working agent. Build with us is not training. It is the alternative to us building the agents on your plan: a few of your team build them, with us alongside, over two guided build days, two build reviews and 90 days of email support.
Does training count towards the Discover credit?
Yes. The £1,500 is credited back in full once your follow-on work passes £3,500 (ex VAT) within 90 days, and training counts as follow-on work like anything else.
Will agents replace anyone in our team?
No. Agents take on defined jobs, such as answering questions from the firm's procedures or preparing a first draft. The judgement, the client relationship and the sign-off stay with your team.
